The death toll in Gaza now is reaching over 15,000, almost all of them children, hospitals, schools, and neighborhoods were completely wiped out, and bombed from the air, ground, and sea. Still, western media and leaders are acting as apologists for the Israeli aggression and genocide. After weeks of bombing the Al Shifa Hospital, killing doctors, staff, and newborn children, the Israeli war propaganda machines have been trying to convince the world of the inconvincible; Hamas was using the Hospital as a military base for the operation, the IDF showing unverified videos of tunnels under the hospitals and members of Hamas running inside the Hospital, bringing injured militants to the Hospital for treatment is an act of war according to IDF, now case is closed and the bombing and killing of children is justifiable. According to the head of the European Commission, Hamas’s attack on Israel is a war Crime, and when asked if the Israeli attack on Gaza amounts to a war crime, “I’m not a lawyer,” she said.
The Israelis have been making the Hamas Al-Shifa underground military tunnels as their primary justification, which some Palestinian and European doctors working at the hospitals were denied. The response to the IDF video was mocked on social media as the Intercept reported “… compared to Geraldo Rivera’s much-hyped — and utterly disastrous — live 1986 nationally televisedspecial promising to reveal the secrets hidden in Al Capone’s underground vault. “as the Intercept reported, we found out that Israel built the Tunnel under the Al-Shifa Hospital in the ’80s, as part of development project the Israeli hired a few from Hamas militant to guard the Hospital against and any attack. In the 80’s, the Israelis courted and financed Hams to counter the more secular group PLO. As Al Jazeera the Israeli Haaretz reported, on the Hamas’s October attack on the Music festival where almost 5000 goers were, the Hamas didn’t have prior knowledge of the festival; according to Israel’s
Channel 12 reported that Palestinian fighters had initially intended to attack nearby kibbutz Re’im, as well as other villages near the Gaza border. They found out about the music festival with drones, and from the air as they parachuted into Israel, Israeli Helicopters mistakenly bombed the Music Festival, and Israeli helicopter bombed the place to prevent Hamas from taking hostages. On October 10, 1990 “Nayirah,” a 15-year-old Kuwaiti girl, stood before Congressional Human Rights Caucus and tearfully asserted that she had watched 15 infants being taken from incubators in Al-Adan Hospital in Kuwait City by Iraqi soldiers who “left the babies on the cold floor to die.” The chairmen of the Congressional group, Tom Lantos, a California Democrat, and John Edward Porter, an Illinois Republican, explained that Nayirah’s identity would be kept secret to protect her family from reprisals in occupied Kuwait. But it turned out that Nayirah’s claims all lie, and she was not just any Kuwaiti girl; she was the daughter of no other than the Kuwaiti ambassador to the United States, Saud Nasser al-Sabah. She was coached by the public relations firm Hill & Knowlton, which worked for the Kuwaiti government. Later, President George Bush told the American people: “They had kids in incubators, and they were thrown out of the incubators so that Kuwait could be systematically dismantled.” The baby-killing narrative had never been challenged, and everyone was on board to eliminate the new Hitler in the Middle East. Ninety days after Nayirah testified, George Bush, the father, launched the first Gulf War, killing thousands of Iraqis. Later, they enforced a restricted embargo and food for oil program, killing primarily babies who never had a chance to get into incubators. We don’t know what became of young Nayirah, if she ever had a second thought or started a Nayirah foundation to help young girls worldwide whom old, powerful men in suites had abused. The Israeli soldiers don’t have to steal incubators; they destroy the Hospital. On February 5, 2003, Bush, the son, was preparing to invade Iraq. Secretary of State Colin Powell made a passionate presentation to the United Nations Security Council, claiming that Saddam Hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction (WMD). “The biological weapon anthrax could be delivered against Iraq’s neighbors or the US by uncrewed aerial vehicles,” Powell claimed, comically holding up a small glass vial as proof.
