About Sanaa
Sanaa Abourezk is a world-reknown chef, author, nutrition expert and restauranteur. Her craft — excellent cuisine — was honed at the Masha Innocenti Cooking School in Florence, Italy and the Cordon Bleu in Paris, France.

Sanaa’s Gourmet Mediterranean restaurant was founded as a storefront to feature Sanaa’s famous recipes and in a short time has become one of Sioux Falls, South Dakota’s outstanding restaurants. Sanaa’s Gourmet Mediterranean features a spectrum of Mediterranean tastes that simply must be experienced. Yet, good taste is not enough. Food is meant to nourish and enrich the body and all of Sanaa’s recipes are prepared using fresh, real and wholesome ingredients. The fats and preservatives of convenience-foods simply are not welcome at Sanaa’s!

Sanaa also offers cooking classes for small groups — these short, one-night events are designed to introduce people to healthy food preparation techniques and also expose others to the joy of preparing and sharing a meal with friends.

Her scholastic work is rounded by an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Nutrition. Sanaa’s recent publications include the cookbooks, “Oh Boy, I Can’t Believe It’s Soy” and “Secrets of Healthy Middle Eastern Cuisine.” In addition to writing a weekly column on food & culture for the Gannet Newspaper, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader, Sanaa is an advisor to organizations on nutrition and food safety.
