Minnesota United Brings International Soccer to Allianz Field !

Last Wednesday on a hot day,, Minnesota United brought International Soccer to Allianz Field, Aston Villa is the  oldest British team brought their stars for a International friendly game.. , we had a chance to be there and talked to Moroccan Dutch player Anwar al Ghazi.., Minnesota United Eric Miller, .. and an Aston Villa Fan who came all the way from Canada, and one came from Camron…., Soccer is the game that brings people together from all around the world.., it was a great evening for the players, the fans and our crew.., at the press box, our thanks to Gabriela Lozada , Man United Public Relations Manager.. for all her help and professionalism.

My Iftar Under the Allianz Stadium Tent! !!

 

Iftar at the Soccer game

On Wednesday night, Minnesota United Soccer team matched up with the German Bundesliga Hertha Berlin team for the first ever international friendly at Allianz Field. The reservation was made four month ago on line, SeatGeek, which obviously they don’t use the Islamic Colander, so I didn’t know it is going to be in Ramadan. Planning is way overrated however, it was one of the most memorable Iftar I ever had. Watching a game while fasting is not as bad as playing while fasting, If a superstar Egyptian player like Mohamed Saleh who plays for Liverpool is fasting during the game, I can watch the game fasting too. The game starts at 7pm and the Iftar, breaking fast is at 8:35pm, so I need to have a real plan here.

FIFA WORLD CUP UGLY STAIN ! …

 

 

 

Every four years, the month of June becomes a month of magic and spectacle around the world. It’s FIFA World Cup time! And for millions of people around the world, and a few lonely Americans, football is the only game in town. It is for some a religion and a divine gift from above. In Egypt, shops, churches, and mosques close, at work people use all their sick days to stay home to watch the games, coffee shops are open all day and nights for the game, only time where the military regime let people in gathered and watching the game in public squares and coffee shops. People in Muslim countries even postpone their daily prayers until after the game. God can wait, but goals won’t.
